Quinoa flake & chia seed porridge

  • 1/4 cup quinoa flakes

  • 2 tbsp chia seeds

  • 1-1.5cup almond milk

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 1 tbsp maple syrup

Topping ideas

  • mixed berries

  • poached pear and apple

  • coconut yogurt

  • 1/4 cup mixed nuts and seeds

Method

Add quinoa flakes, almond milk and cinnamon into a pot and heat on the stove top. Stir for a couple of minutes until hot and mixture has a porridge consistency. Transfer to a bowl and then add your choice of toppings. Lately I’ve been enjoying poached pear and apple with a little bit of coconut yogurt and a tbsp of nuts and seeds.
