Life is funny isn’t it. In a very surprising and delightful turn of events, over the last year I have found myself not only sitting in the role of naturopath and yoga teacher but also that of mentor and coach for women starting their businesses! 

It started off with helping my friends. They then told their friends about me and before I knew it, I had quite a few people reaching out to me for tips and advice. Over the last year I have joyfully spent hours helping and guiding women on where to next with their business journey. They then started paying me money for my time and before I knew it, helping people in this way has become another thing I do, and I must say, happily so.

I’ve never considered myself to be a small business whizz and I still don’t claim to know it all. What I am though is incredibly passionate about staying up to date with what's out there and investing and learning from the best in business development. I do this so in my own business as a naturopath and yoga teacher I can serve my beautiful clients and attract more people who I can help. 

At the end of the day, it’s the helping people part I love. I help my clients as a naturopath and yoga teacher, and I help other women who feel stuck with starting their businesses or don’t feel in alignment with their current way of doing things. If you are someone who lacks confidence in yourself and are in need of a business cheerleader and motivator, I am your woman. 

I love creating, sharing and showing people how easy things can be if we just stick to our own lane and stop trying to be like everyone else. I see so many people who are starting out making very common mistakes. Things like;

• Spending 90% of their time making reels that no one sees while their websites and long form content are lacklustre.

• Hating doing things like making reels but feeling like “isn’t this what I need to be doing to be noticed” when it’s not.

• Listening to stale and outdated marketing advice and wondering why it isn’t working.

• Being caught in an industry echo chamber where everyone is doing the same thing as everyone else.

• Swinging from one shiny idea to the next without strategy.

• Building a business based on someone else's values and not being clear about who they are or what business model would work best for them.

Sound familiar? The reality is things in business and the online world move very quickly. If you are not someone who has the desire or time to stay up to date with what’s out there it’s very easy to get left behind. Sometimes you just need some guidance and someone in your corner who has your back.

I have worked in both corporate environments and small businesses. I am lucky enough to have a few very amazing role models and very successful humans around me in a variety of industries. I have seen what works and what doesn’t and I have an ability to see things very clearly.

What I know for sure is that when you are clear on what you want to do and remain true to yourself, magic happens. Add a splash of “backing yourself” and a little mentoring support and you have a recipe for success. If someone else is doing what you want to do, then YOU CAN TOO.
